This year, on African Children’s Day, Santa Luísa de Marillac School, Moza Bank and A Little Gesture came together to pay tribute to something we should never forget: the value and dignity of every child.
It was a day of joy, but also of recognition. Recognition of culture, with the vibrant traditional dance of the Xigubo group, which echoed the strength and identity of our communities.
Recognition of the voice of children, through the poems recited by Amélia and Lucrécia — simple, profound and full of humanity.
And recognition of the right to play, learn and dream: with the inauguration of the new goalposts on the school field, symbolising new opportunities, new dreams and more fertile fields — both on and off the pitch.
