We enthusiastically celebrate the completion of Santa Catarina pre-school kitchen! During the months of October and November we built a functional space, acknowledging the importance of providing a dignified and stable environment for children between 3 and 5 years of age. The new Escolinha Sta. Catarina kitchen is more than an area to prepare meals. This investment represents a valuable commitment to the well-being and full development of the 60 children who attend the school and of all the ESC team.
Dignified and stable environments play a crucial role in children’s development. Particularly for children between 3 and 5 years old. The importance goes beyond the provision of daily meals; it includes an environment prone to healthy, physical, and cognitive, growth.
By providing an adequate place to cook breakfast and lunch, we secure not only regular meals, but also a safe and comfortable environment to promote social interactions and the development of important skills. The new kitchen will enable children to enjoy well-balanced meals that contribute for their physical and cognitive development. At this stage, adequate nutrition is crucial for children’s growth and learning processes, setting up the bases for a sound academic future.
