Every year, our schools celebrate one of the most special moments in the school calendar: the graduation of children who have completed their pre-school education.
This year was no different, with the playgrounds filled with colour, music, pride — and lots of emotion.
Families, educators, the ALG team, and the community come together to honour the children who, over the course of three years, have grown, learned, played, made mistakes, started over, and discovered the world around them.
Each ceremony is different, but they all have something in common: the smiles of the children and the joy of their parents as they watch them take their first steps towards the future.
Through songs, dances, short plays and moments lovingly prepared by the educators, the children show what they have learned and, one by one, the graduates receive their diplomas, marking the end of one stage and the beginning of another. For many, this is the first major recognition of their school life — and it is impossible not to feel the symbolic importance of this moment.
Parents and guardians thank the educators for their patience, dedication, and affection. The educators smile with pride, remembering the shy first days and now seeing confident, curious children ready for the next chapter.
And ALG reinforces what it deeply believes: early childhood education is the foundation on which everything that comes after is built.
These graduations represent much more than the end of the school year — they are a commitment to the future, a continuous investment in the cognitive, emotional and social development of children in the communities where we work.
This Christmas, we celebrate these days that remind us, year after year, that it is in the first steps that great paths are drawn.
