This family’s life changed in an instant: without warning, they were evicted from the house where they lived. From one day to the next, the mother and her four children—two of whom were part of Sponsorship Program—were left homeless, insecure, without a place to call home. The future seemed uncertain, but there was something they never lacked: strength and determination to carry on.
It was in this context that a helping hand appeared. A Sponsorship, with a generous gesture through extra sponsorship, took the first step to transform the family’s situation. With some money already saved for the work, part of the costs still needed to be covered. Our technician Ilídio suggested that part of the support be used to buy roofing sheets. With the reinforcement of UPG, which completed the amount needed for cement and labor, the work could move forward!
Today, the family has a home. Small, simple, but full of love and hope. There, within those walls, lies the promise of a better tomorrow. A space that gives them back their security, dignity, and the certainty that they are not alone.
