In 2017, Paulino was only 7 years old. He lived with his mother and younger brother in a fragile house that was almost falling apart. Every rain, every strong wind, represented a threat. The family’s life reflected this fragility: scarce meals and limited resources.
Even so, Paulino never missed school. He did his homework, helped around the house, and dreamed of a different future. His mother, Marta, sold tomatoes at the market, struggling to make ends meet. There was strength, there was will, but the security of a home was a distant luxury.
In 2025, thanks to additional support from the sponsor through extra sponsorship, the situation began to change. Our technicians together with the family, used the funds to renovate the house, which was in extremely poor condition—dirt floors, fragile walls, and an unsafe roof.
Today, Paulino lives in a safe space, protected from the rain, with firm floors and welcoming walls.
This transformation was only possible thanks to gestures of solidarity that go beyond sponsorship, showing that little actions can change lives. Because education, health, food, and even a safe home begin with someone who believes!
