To mark World Savings Day, Moza Banco, in partnership with A Little Gesture, challenged students at Santa Luísa de Marillac School to think about the future. The invitation was simple but profound: write about what saving means, under the motto ‘Dreaming Tomorrow’ — saving money, resources, time or opportunities — and how this gesture can transform lives.
The children showed that they understood that saving is not just about putting money aside. It is about believing. It is about dreaming of a career, helping your family, studying, growing and building. It is about planting hope, even with limited resources.
All participants received educational materials, and the best essays were awarded small savings accounts. The three winning entries were by Clarência Pedro Novela (3rd place), Edvânia Ezaquiel Mutisse (2nd place) and Dinalva Artur Chauque (1st place). Each received a small savings account as a symbol of trust and a starting point.
