Since August, ALG is part of a new project in partnership with other Portuguese NGOs: Girl Move, APOIAR and PROSOCIAL partly financed by Instituto Camões. The ‘In-Touch 4 Impact’ project aims in communicating with young girls during the social distancing period, guaranteeing their well-being and mapping violence and abuse risk cases.
For this communication, ALG can count on our Mentors’ help, the Uni Scholarship holders Artimiza (Zootechnical Engineer), Fátima (Public Health) and Miliona (Pharmacy), as well as ex-Uni Scholarship holder Laura Joana (Teacher’s Training). These young women are crucial to activate female talent, being an example and inspiration to the young ones. They are responsible for weekly communication with 76 girls, following guidelines that comprehend a games portion (spelling games, guessing games, tongue twisters) and an informal dialogue portion regarding various topics, such as: school importance, self-love, early pregnancy and marriage, Covid19 precaution measures, among others.
ALG aims to promote female talent and empower women and young girls, opening their horizons and effectively answering new challenges.
