During this week and next, our sister-charity UPG volunteers, Bernardo and Filipe, will dedicate their time in a most intensive way of teaching Portuguese through sports, with a garanteed hot meal to all of our sponsored children in São Vicente Paulo. Here are the news:
“Our “sports week event” started in the best way. We were afraid that children would not appear at school but yesterday they were 75 and today were 83, it really exceeded our expectations. The main goal is to teach Portuguese. Most of these children are from 1st to 4thclass. The older one were helping us and they were very supportive. In addition to sports activities, we also played several games. Lunch was great and children loved it.”
