Since the school year’s beginning, the SLM After-Class Support Project welcomed a new local monitor. Gerónimo was SVP After-Class Support’s Monitor in 2019, and in 2020 accepted a new challenge: helping and following the academic difficulties and problems of the 135 children who attend weekly Santa Luísa de Marillac (SLM) After-Class Support.
A more rural community, where the widely spoken language is the local dialect (“changana”), Geronimo’s dedication to children’s education and readiness to help in their different difficulties are important traits to address the children’s academic problems.
Always open to new and more playful educational approaches, Gerónimo aims to encourage children to attend the After-Class Support room weekly, as well as improving their academic performance.
